About Diwana Bhel Poori House

A taste of authenticity with a warm welcome

Nestled in the vibrant streets of London, Diwana Bhel Poori House offers an inviting experience that begins the moment you walk through its doors. The atmosphere is friendly, with a steady hum of content diners and attentive staff who create a sense of community. It's a place where solo diners feel just as welcome as groups of friends catching up over plates of colourful, aromatic food.

This small business has become known for its commitment to serving delicious vegetarian and vegan Indian cuisine. Despite the compact seating, service is fast and thoughtful. Guests are welcomed warmly, often greeted by cheerful waiters who seem to know just what you need.

An explosion of flavour in every dish

The menu at Diwana Bhel Poori House reads like a celebration of Indian culinary tradition. It's a journey across regions and ingredients, delivering bold spices and comfort in every bite. One of the house favourites is the Paneer Dosa, crispy and filled with soft, seasoned cheese, while the Deluxe Dosa caters to those looking for an even more indulgent version.

For those who enjoy trying a little bit of everything, the Sampler Platter is an ideal starting point. It introduces a variety of textures and flavours, from tangy to savoury, crispy to creamy. Another popular option is the Tarka Daal, a soothing, spiced lentil stew that balances warmth with simplicity. Dishes like Aloo Gobi and Muttar Paneer offer a wholesome touch of home-style cooking, with flavours that are comforting yet deeply complex.

Street food charm meets restaurant comfort

Diwana’s menu truly shines with its classic street food selections. The Panni Poori, filled with spiced water and crisp shells, is both fun to eat and full of zest. The Sev Poori and Dahi Vada continue this trend, offering a textural dance of crunch and softness, spiced and chilled.

Complementing the meal are freshly made beverages and desserts. Masala Chai is served piping hot and rich in spice, while cool drinks like Mango Lassi and Horchata offer a refreshing contrast. For dessert, there’s the familiar sweetness of Gulab Jamun, the indulgence of Banana Split, and traditional treats like Kulfi Malai and Falooda. These options satisfy cravings while highlighting the diversity of Indian sweets.

More than just food a place for everyone

One of the things that makes Diwana Bhel Poori House special is its inclusivity. With wheelchair-accessible seating, it ensures that all guests are accommodated with dignity. It’s also a great option for a quick bite, a solo dinner, or a late-night food run. The ambiance is relaxed, the turnover is quick without feeling rushed, and the dessert counter is always tempting.

Whether you're someone discovering Indian food for the first time or a regular who craves the comfort of a well-cooked dosa, this restaurant never disappoints. The menu, while extensive, maintains a sense of authenticity and freshness that is hard to replicate. Every dish seems crafted with care, every spice intentional, and every visit memorable.

Why people keep coming back

Guests often mention the welcoming energy of the staff and the cozy, buzzing vibe inside. “Lovely small business, yummy vegan food, good vibes and lovely waiters!” is not just a passing compliment-it reflects a consistent pattern in the dining experience. The staff are quick, considerate, and efficient even during busy periods. The seating may be a bit tight, but the warmth of service and the depth of flavour in the food make it easy to overlook.

This is a restaurant where shared laughter over Chick Peas Pulao and satisfied sighs after a bite of Paper Dosa are part of the norm. The joy of dining here is enhanced when enjoyed in company, but the dishes stand strong on their own too.

A staple in London's Indian culinary scene

Diwana Bhel Poori House doesn’t just serve food-it serves experiences wrapped in spice, colour, and care. With a strong reputation among locals and travellers alike, it holds its place firmly in London’s diverse food map. Each visit feels like a new chapter in a continuing story of flavour and tradition.

For anyone seeking an authentic vegetarian Indian meal that combines value, flavour, and hospitality, this is the destination. Diwana Bhel Poori House remains one of those places you visit once, then keep returning to, each time discovering something new, comforting, and delicious.

This is my go to food place with friends!! The food is amazing every time and the portion sizes are great for sharing. My favourite is the dosas - so many flavours. The staff are always accommodating and I love that it’s Bring Your Own Beer!

Amazing service, amazing food, we had Moni looking after our table as well as other members of the team and all were absolutely lovely, very accomodating and made our dinner an even better experience than it already was. I had the sag and paneer dosa which was amazing as well as the panni poori and bheel poori for starters. All were delicious

We came for the buffet and left very happy. Everything tasted freshly made, with a good mix of light, crunchy chaat and comforting curries. The bhel poori was crisp and tangy, the dosas nicely done, and the chutneys bright without being too spicy. Dishes were topped up regularly, so nothing sat around, and the staff were efficient without fuss. The room is simple and relaxed—perfect for a quick, tasty meal—and the value for money is excellent. Would gladly come back for another easy, satisfying buffet

The food is BEAUTIFUL here. I love it. The Mysore masala dosa is my favourite and all the starters are incredible. For example today I had some samoas as a starter and the texture of the pastry was utterly flawless. The staff are really welcoming and attentive to their customers and the food is always served quickly. The whole place has a really wholesome, simple easy-going atmosphere. There are no frilly tablecloths, fancy napkins or up-tight waiters in bowties here, just exquisitely fresh south Indian cuisine. I think perhaps the biggest compliment I can give is that I've brought several friends here and nobody has ever had a bad word to say.

Wonderful vegetarian spot next to Euston Railway Station. The ambience was wonderful and peaceful with wooden seats which took the breath away. The menu was concise and hit on the target. Would have been better if there was a drinks menu but still the lady in service explained the drinks well. Tried various veg dishes - okra fry, pani puri, mysore masala dosa, onion rava dosa. Every dish was at its best. Kudos to the chef and team. The pani puri was filled with flavours and was at right temperature. Okra fry was great as my friend who dislikes okra tried it and gave it a high thumbs up. Only thing to mention is to avoid the salad which was given with okra fry as it was cold and didn’t compliment the dish. The dosas and its side were true to its taste and quality - crispy, flavourful and right temperature. Really kudos for such south indian delicacies. Keep it up
